I pray that our daughters would be as polished stones, with characters of beauty, fit for your Kingly palace; and that our sons would be as plants, nurtured, strong, growing closer and closer to Heaven—even from their youth.
I pray that our children, as fruitful olive trees, would be filled with the oil of Your Spirit, bearing fruit that leads others to you.
Lord, even a child is known by his actions. Empower our children both to will and to do of your good pleasure. May they live to glorify your name as You work in their characters a mighty change worthy of the new name that You have waiting for them. May they be as lights, that when the world looks their way, the world cannot help but see their good works and glorify You, our Father in Heaven.
Grant our children courage to obey, not just in our presence, but always, even when we are not near.
Give them the courage to choose for themselves each day whom they will serve; Give them the wisdom to choose life.
May they choose their friends with eternity in mind and seek the companionship of the wise.
May they willingly and cheerfully comfort the afflicted, feed the hungry, cheer the downcast, teach the inquiring, walk where your Spirit leads.
As you have promised when our children are taught of You, may their peace be great.
In their lives, Lord, be glorified.
