Something for the Children #46: What is it? (close-up pics)

It’s fun to look up-close at the neat things God has made!

Do you ever like to take a magnifying glass outside and look up-close at some of the neat things God has made? When we take a little time and look very closely, we learn things that we might not have known before, don’t we! Like…

Flies are a little “furry”…

And our fingers have cool, swirly lines all in them — that’s how we get fingerprints. πŸ˜‰

It is also fun to look up-close first. Then you can try to figure out what the thing is you are looking at. Want to try?

Here are several close-up pictures. Look carefully and see if you can tell what the thing is. Then click on the picture. (Be sure you guessed first!) A picture that shows you the whole thing like we usually see it will open up. (Click the “back” button to come back here.) Have fun!

Sorry this last picture is a little blurry. I thought this would be fun anyway. πŸ™‚

Did you like that game? Maybe we can do it again sometime. Which was the hardest thing? Which was the easiest? I’ll watch out for some more ideas!

  1. This is a really cool post! I had a hard time with the grass and the grasshopper. The easiest was the kitty fur.

    • Thank you, Strawbriella — I’m glad you liked it! I thought that grasshopper might be the tricky one. πŸ˜‰ Doesn’t the kitty fur look even softer up close? πŸ™‚
