***More Back to School Bible Promises***

When I am facing a special challenge, I like to find verses in my Bible to help me trust God and know what He wants me to do.

Last week, I told you how to make Bible Promise Cards with some of your favorite Bible verses.  (If you missed that, you can go back to Promise Cards: Back to School here.)

This week, I have some more Bible promises about going to school to share with you.  Just like before, you may pick the ones that mean the most to you and use them to make your Bible Promise Cards with.

Remember, even if you are homeschooled, I am sure you will find some Bible Promises here that will be special to you!

More Bible Promises

Here are more of the Promises that I found for you:

“A wise man will hear, and will increase learning….” –Proverbs 1:5

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” –Proverbs 1:7

To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” –Isaiah 8:20

“In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” –Proverbs 3:6

(Who is “him” in this verse?  Yes, it is God!)

“The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness.” –Proverbs 10:32

(To be “froward” is to be difficult to deal with, or to selfishly disagree and do the opposite of what you are expected to do.)

Lie not one to another….” –Colossians 3:9

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he….” –Proverbs 23:7

“Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth….” –Proverbs 27:2

“A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.” –Proverbs 29:11

“The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it.” –Proverbs 29:7

“A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.” –Proverbs 15:1

“Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” –II Timothy 2:15

(“Dividing” means “sharing” in this verse.)

“Thou drewest near in the day that I called upon thee: thou saidst, Fear not.” –Lamentations 3:57

“But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.” –II Corinthians 10:17

Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving.” –Colossians 4:2

Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.” –Philippians 4:4

“See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.” –I Thessalonians 5:15

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” –I Thessalonians 5:21

“Abstain from all appearance of evil.” –I Thessalonians 5:22

“Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.” –Isaiah 48:17

A prayer for you

And here is my prayer for each one of you:

“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.” –I Thessalonians 5:23,24 🙂
