10 Vacation Bible School crafts ideas for a 10 Commandments VBS theme

VBS—The Land of Milk & Honey comes with plenty of Vacation Bible School crafts ideas — but in case you’d like to tweak the plan a bit… 😉

10 Vacation Bible School crafts ideas for a 10 Commandments VBS theme — Phew! That’s a mouthful! 🙂 My title wouldn’t even fit in my title space so I had to shorten it up a bit.

VBS—The Land of Milk & Honey

If you are interested in using a 10 Commandments VBS theme, you will want to be sure to take a look at my VBS—The Land of Milk & Honey Vacation Bible School curriculum. VBS—The Land of Milk & Honey actually comes with detailed instructions for plenty of Vacation Bible School crafts ideas to fill up 10 days of VBS for the children in all of the VBS age groups.

VBS—The Land of Milk & Honey includes a variety of Vacation Bible School crafts ideas, like:

  • Sand Art Bottles,
  • a special cracker recipe (courtesy of Restoration International, to use as you speak of Sabbath preparation),
  • Marble Ten Commandments,
  • Treasure Chest with Promise Cards,
  • and (a sure favorite with the children) Rainbow Swirling Ribbon Bands.

Possible angles for 10 Commandments crafts

That being said, I know many VBS leaders enjoy tweaking the crafts portion of their VBS programs.

There are a few angles you can take in coming up with 10 Commandments Vacation Bible School crafts ideas:

  • Crafts that implement a verse (or verses) from the 10 Commandments in their design
  • Crafts that remind the children of the concept behind one of the 10 Commandments (or put that concept to use in the making and/or use of the craft)
  • Crafts that represent a story that illustrates the practical application of one or more of the 10 Commandments

10 VBS crafts ideas for a 10 Commandments VBS theme — 6 Comments

  1. Hi.. Im Winnie from the Philippines. Im a full time and a missionary. I love your 10 commandments theme. Hope and pray that i can have a copy. It has been my desire to teach children this very important truth from GOD’S Word.. But I can’t afford to buy it. We are having our VBS this coming april and may. If it is not too much if i can request a one master copy for a less price for my personal ministry. It will be a great help in restoring real virtue and excellence in our children. Thank you. GOD bless your ministry!

  2. Hi Sheila, this is Winnie! I am very sorry for the long delayed response to your message. I am not sure why you got a return message like that because my email is working just fine. It took me long to reply because we got tied up also with our local church activities and right now we are going to handle three separate VBS this summer.
Anyway, if my request is still on your list, I’m sending you my husband’s email, you can send your message there. I’ll be happy to answer any inquiry coming from you.

    With much thanks,

    • I am very sorry Winnie. I have tried both of your email addresses and tried sending from 3 different domains (one of which is the same one your email addresses are on). I keep getting the failure notice. I’m not sure what is up with that; I’m not sure what else to do, though, either. :/

I wonder if it would do any good for you to email me directly at office at Hasten Home. (Include the .com at the end.) You are welcome to try. I really wish I knew what else to do!
