Weekly Photo Challenge: “Flowers”

Have you ever noticed how natural it seems to be for a small child to find joy in life?  With just a little encouragement on our part–a reassuring smile, a hug, or a calm word–she is ready to face the world and hunt down its joy.

Maybe the joy comes from handling something God made.  It might be as simple as an interesting dirt clod or as beautiful as a rose in full bloom.

Or perhaps the joy comes from an act of love: smiling at Sister or rubbing Daddy’s feet.

Either way, the simple pleasures of childhood are worth treasuring.  The joy of children deserves our blessing…and even our imitation.
