It’s time for Five Minute Friday! Today’s topic is “Perspective”.
When I was a child, I spake as a child; I understood as a child….
A general trait of children is their tendency to view the world as it relates to themselves. I know I was no different.
I often felt that other people should see things my way just because I saw things my way. Not a very healthy–or helpful–attitude.
Now that I am grown, I have put away childish things–at least, by God’s grace, I try.
Even in children’s ministry, some of the things we need to teach are not popular. But that does not mean we should not respect the perspective that others (children or adults) bring to the topic.
God’s Word is truth. But our perspective on life may be skewed.
We must always respect each other. God’s Word is not a hammer to “beat people over the head”. It is a sword that cleanly divides.
~Well, looks like we’re left hanging today! What do you think? How can we respect other people’s perspective on life, yet still stand strong for the truth?
