  1. You are such a Blessing, thank you so much for all your input….I, Praise God already do these and I also like to include the hand actions so that the children will have fun with the memory verses also…..it seems to help empower them to want to memorize them…..and they are simple…..I love it……have a Blessed day…..<3

    • Hand actions — yes! That is an excellent tip to add. Thank you, Ramona. I even make up hand actions for myself when I am having a difficult time with a particular verse. 😉

  2. There is so much valuable information here. Thank you! I have two boys, ages six and three, and scripture memorization is one of my goals for this year. There are some websites with some great printable, but you are right- sometimes simplifying the verse a bit is key. Thank you for these tips!

  3. Another excellent post Sheila. I am glad you are following your call by teaching children the correct way of following God. Also by sharing your experience and strength by posting these valuable tools that actually resonate with children provides others more information to carry His message. Thanks!

  4. Thank you for taking the time to organize these tips. I don’t have much experience working with VBS but the time I did spend was an awesome time to watch as the little ones began to ‘get it’. If you make it priority to be intentionally repetative, they do learn & understand. God bless you in your effort to sow the word into the coming generations.

It's okay to be 1st! Or 549th, for that matter... I'm eager to hear from you!
